Roofing Before & After in West Palm Beach, FL
We could tell you about our workmanship all day. But photos show what a roof actually looks like after ten Florida summers, and what it looks like after our crew leaves. The projects below are representative of the repair and replacement work Birchbark Roofing West Palm Beach completes across Palm Beach County. Each one started with a written price and ended with a photo of the clean-up.

Roof Replacement: Worn-Out 3-Tab Shingle to Architectural GAF
The old roof was original to a mid-2000s home near Southern Boulevard. Shingles were cupping, granules were washing into the gutters, and the homeowner had patched two leaks already. We tore everything down to the decking, replaced two sheets of rotted plywood, laid synthetic underlayment, and installed a full GAF Timberline system with new drip edge, valleys, and ridge venting. The written price before tear-off covered every sheet of replacement decking, so there were no surprises at the end.
Roof Repair: Valley Leak and Rotted Decking
This homeowner noticed a brown stain on the bedroom ceiling after a heavy afternoon storm. We found the valley metal had rusted through, and the decking underneath was soft in two places. We opened the valley, cut out the rotted decking, replaced it, and installed new open metal valley with ice-and-water shield running the full length. The total was on the lower end of what we normally see for valley repairs in West Palm Beach, and the owner had the number in writing before we lifted a single shingle.
Roof Replacement: Flat Roof to Tapered TPO System
Flat roof sections take a beating in our rainy season, and this one had been patched three times by previous contractors. The homeowner wanted a permanent fix, not another patch. We pulled the old membrane, installed tapered ISO insulation to correct the ponding problem, and welded a white TPO membrane over the entire surface. White TPO reflects most of the sun’s heat too, which helps the cooling bill in July and August. The crew wore shoe covers inside the whole time because the only access was through the living room.
Roof Repair: Wind-Lifted Shingles and Missing Hip Cap
The homeowner called after a storm passed through and they saw shingles in the yard. We matched the existing Owens Corning shingle as closely as the available color line allowed, replaced the missing hip cap, and re-secured every lifted shingle along the rake. The repair was a half-day job. The homeowner told us the dog was anxious about strangers on the roof, so we coordinated with them to let him out before we started and kept the work window short. Most repairs of this scope in West Palm Beach run between $400 and $900; the exact number was in writing before the first nail went in.
Roof Replacement: Tile-to-Tile Using Boral Concrete Tile
Homes in the historic El Cid district often have concrete tile roofs, and this one had served forty years before the underlayment finally gave out. The tiles themselves were cracking from foot traffic and storm impact. We did a full tear-off, replaced the underlayment with a high-temperature self-adhered product designed specifically for tile systems, and reinstalled new Boral concrete tile in a profile that matched the neighborhood’s Mediterranean look. The hardest part was the quiet hours the homeowner requested; we started at 8:00 sharp and kept the tear-off noise to the front of the day. A project like this starts around $28,000 in this part of West Palm Beach, and the written quote broke out every layer so the owner could see exactly where the money went.
Roof Repair: Gable-End Fascia Rot and Drip Edge Replacement
Water had been getting behind the gutter at the gable end of this waterfront home, rotting the fascia board and loosening the drip edge. Left alone, it would have worked its way into the soffit framing. We replaced the rotted board with pressure-treated lumber, re-secured and sealed the drip edge, and painted the new fascia to match the existing trim. The job took a day, and the before-and-after photos went right into the file with the completed clean-up shot. This kind of fascia repair in West Palm Beach typically runs from $300 to $700 depending on how far the rot has traveled into the framing.
